About the role
This position is part of Microsoft's data centre operations team in Hyderabad, Telangana. The Critical Environment Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of critical facility infrastructure that supports cloud and enterprise services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical environment systems such as power, cooling, and mechanical infrastructure
- Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on data centre equipment
- Responding to and resolving incidents affecting critical systems to minimise downtime
- Adhering to safety protocols, change management procedures, and operational standards
Candidates are expected to have a strong technical background in facilities engineering, electrical or mechanical systems, or a related discipline. Experience working in a data centre or mission-critical environment is highly desirable.
