About the role
This position is responsible for the hands-on operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical environment systems that support large-scale data centre and technology infrastructure. The technician ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and facility systems function reliably and within defined operational parameters.
Key responsibilities include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical systems such as power distribution, cooling, fire suppression, and related building management systems. The role requires prompt response to alarms and incidents to minimise downtime and protect infrastructure integrity.
- Monitor and maintain critical environment systems including power, cooling, and life-safety equipment
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Respond to and resolve system alarms, escalating issues as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, incidents, and equipment status
- Collaborate with engineering and facilities teams to support infrastructure projects and upgrades
Candidates should have a background in electrical, mechanical, or facilities engineering with hands-on experience in data centre or critical environment operations. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, and a commitment to safety standards are essential for this role.
