We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Community Manager to join our growing team in India. In this role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our brand and its online and offline communities. You will be responsible for building meaningful relationships, fostering engagement, and creating a vibrant, inclusive space where our audience feels heard, valued, and connected. As our Community Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping brand perception, driving user engagement, and supporting business growth through authentic community-led initiatives. You will work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a consistent and positive brand voice across all community touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow online communities across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Discord, WhatsApp, and other relevant channels relevant to the Indian market.
- Create and curate engaging content — including posts, newsletters, discussion prompts, and announcements — that resonates with diverse community segments.
- Monitor community conversations, respond to comments, queries, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive member experience at all times.
- Plan and execute virtual and in-person community events, webinars, meetups, and campaigns to strengthen community bonds and increase brand loyalty.
- Identify and nurture relationships with key community members, brand advocates, and regional influencers to amplify reach and credibility.
- Track, analyze, and report on community metrics such as engagement rates, member growth, sentiment, and retention, using data to continuously refine strategy.
- Collaborate with the product and customer support teams to relay community feedback, surface user insights, and contribute to product improvement discussions.
- Enforce community guidelines and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members across platforms.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of proven experience in community management, social media management, or a closely related role, preferably within a startup or digital-first organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi; proficiency in additional regional languages is a strong advantage.
- Deep familiarity with major social media platforms, community tools, and engagement best practices within the Indian digital landscape.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, resolve conflicts diplomatically, and inspire active participation within a community.
- Proficiency in social media analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or native platform insights, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- A creative mindset with the ability to develop fresh content ideas and campaigns that align with brand values and community interests.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates.
