The employer is seeking a Cashier to join its branch banking team in Pattukkottai, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing cash transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering a positive experience to customers at the counter.
The role involves handling cash receipts and payments, maintaining proper records of all transactions, and ensuring full compliance with the bank's internal processes and regulatory guidelines. The Cashier is expected to maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times and escalate discrepancies promptly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing customer deposits, withdrawals, and other cash-based transactions
- Verifying the authenticity of currency notes and instruments
- Maintaining accurate daily cash records and end-of-day reconciliation
- Providing courteous and prompt service to walk-in customers
- Adhering to all banking norms, KYC requirements, and audit standards
This is a branch-level position suited to candidates with a strong attention to detail, good numerical aptitude, and a customer-first attitude. Prior experience in cash handling within a banking or financial services environment will be an advantage.
