About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, 2D layouts, and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software to support product development and manufacturing processes. As a CAD Designer I, you will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to translate conceptual ideas and technical specifications into accurate, production-ready design documentation. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of projects across sectors such as mechanical engineering, architecture, or industrial design, depending on the team you are assigned to.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA based on engineering requirements and design briefs.
• Interpret and convert hand-drawn sketches, technical specifications, and engineering notes into detailed digital design files.
• Revise and update existing drawings to incorporate design changes, engineering modifications, or client feedback in a timely manner.
• Maintain organised and well-documented drawing files, version histories, and design libraries in accordance with company standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, or structural engineers to ensure design accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
• Perform basic design checks and quality reviews to identify drafting errors, inconsistencies, or missing dimensions before submission.
• Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and fabrication documentation for manufacturing teams.
• Participate in design review meetings and contribute ideas for improving drawing standards and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one CAD software platform such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Revit; certification is an added advantage.
• 0–2 years of professional or internship experience in a CAD design or drafting role; fresh graduates with strong academic projects are welcome to apply.
• Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), engineering drawing standards, and technical documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
• Good communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across departments.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, material properties, or construction techniques relevant to the design domain.
