About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team. In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior engineers and project leads to develop precise technical drawings, 2D layouts, and 3D models that support product development and manufacturing operations across multiple industries.
As a CAD Designer I, you will be responsible for translating conceptual designs and engineering specifications into accurate, production-ready drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA. You will play a critical role in ensuring design accuracy, maintaining drawing standards, and supporting cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
This role is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in mechanical or product design within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. We value precision, creativity, and a continuous learning mindset as you grow your career with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software based on verbal or written instructions from senior engineers.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, incorporating engineer markups and client feedback in a timely manner.
- Ensure all drawings comply with GD&T standards, BIS codes, and company drafting guidelines for accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and part lists for manufacturing and procurement teams.
- Organise and maintain the CAD drawing library, ensuring proper version control and file management within the company's PDM or PLM system.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production teams, and quality departments to resolve design conflicts and support design reviews.
- Perform basic design calculations and feasibility checks to validate that drawings meet dimensional and tolerance requirements.
- Participate in internal design review meetings and incorporate feedback to continuously improve drawing quality and turnaround time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognised Indian university or polytechnic institute.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and at least one 3D CAD tool such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Inventor; certification is an added advantage.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in CAD drafting or design; internship experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is acceptable.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawing standards, GD&T principles, and material specifications commonly used in Indian manufacturing sectors.
- Strong attention to detail, good spatial visualisation skills, and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering documents.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP or PLM tools is desirable.
- Good communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Benefits
- Competitive CTC between ₹2.5 LPA – ₹4.5 LPA based on qualifications and experience, with annual performance-linked increments.
- Access to structured training programmes and mentorship from senior engineers to accelerate your technical growth and career progression.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for self and immediate family members, including hospitalisation and outpatient benefits.
- Paid annual leave, casual leave, and national holidays as per the Shops and Establishments Act applicable in your state.
- Opportunity to work on diverse industry projects spanning automotive, industrial equipment, and consumer products, broadening your professional expertise.
