CAD Designer I

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team based in India. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with senior designers, engineers, and project managers to develop precise technical drawings and design documentation across a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA based on project requirements and engineering specifications.
• Assist senior designers and engineers in developing detailed design documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Revise and update existing CAD drawings to reflect design changes, engineering modifications, or client feedback in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all drawings and designs comply with company standards, industry codes, and applicable regulatory guidelines before submission for review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering departments to support integrated design solutions.
• Organize and maintain CAD files, drawing libraries, and project documentation in a structured and accessible digital filing system.
• Participate in design review meetings, presenting work for feedback and incorporating suggested improvements into final deliverables.
• Support quality checks and design verification processes to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies in technical drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
• Proficiency in one or more CAD software platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or equivalent tools with demonstrated hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical drafting principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and design briefs to produce accurate and complete technical drawings.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate productively within a team environment.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a CAD design role; internship or academic project experience will be considered for fresh graduates.
