CAD Designer I

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team in India. In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior designers, engineers, and project managers to develop precise technical drawings and design documentation for a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, and layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assist senior designers and engineers in developing design concepts, schematics, and detailed production drawings for mechanical, structural, or architectural projects.
• Review and interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical documents to translate requirements into precise CAD models and drawings.
• Maintain and organize drawing files, version histories, and design documentation in the company's document management system to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Perform routine revisions and updates to existing drawings based on feedback from engineering teams, clients, or quality review processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, structural engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Conduct basic design checks and quality reviews to verify that drawings meet dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and compliance requirements before submission.
• Stay updated on the latest CAD tools, design standards, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of design output.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution in India.
• Proficiency in at least one industry-standard CAD software platform such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or NX is required.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting conventions.
• 0–2 years of professional or internship experience in a CAD design or drafting role; fresh graduates with strong academic project portfolios are encouraged to apply.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, error-free work.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to understand and present technical information clearly to team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workloads effectively, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
