About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team based in India. In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior engineers and project leads to develop precise technical drawings, 2D layouts, and 3D models that support product development and manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual looking to build a strong foundation in computer-aided design within a dynamic and collaborative work environment. You will contribute to real-world projects from day one, gaining hands-on experience across multiple industries including manufacturing, construction, and product design.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Assist senior designers and engineers in developing technical documentation, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM) for new and existing products.
- Interpret and translate engineering sketches, verbal instructions, and conceptual designs into accurate and production-ready technical drawings.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and design records within the company's document management system, ensuring version control and easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Identify and communicate design discrepancies or potential issues to senior team members, recommending practical solutions when appropriate.
- Participate in design review meetings, incorporating feedback to refine and finalize drawings within project timelines and quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, drafting standards (such as ISO and ASME), and emerging CAD technologies to continuously improve design output quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in one or more CAD software platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or equivalent tools; formal certification is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting conventions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and consistent drawings while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in a CAD design or drafting role; internship or academic project experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management tools is preferred.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package aligned with industry standards, along with performance-based increments and annual bonuses.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and their immediate family members, including medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Access to ongoing professional development programs, CAD software training, and certification sponsorship to accelerate career growth.
- Flexible working arrangements including hybrid work options, generous paid time off, and national holiday observances in compliance with Indian labor regulations.
- A supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values innovation, teamwork, and individual contribution, with clear pathways for career advancement within the organization.
