About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team in India. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with senior designers and project engineers to develop precise technical drawings, 2D layouts, and 3D models that support product development and manufacturing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual looking to build a strong foundation in computer-aided design within a dynamic, collaborative, and innovation-driven work environment. You will contribute to real-world projects from day one while continuously developing your technical skills and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA based on project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Assist senior engineers and designers in developing technical documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design specifications.
- Revise and update existing CAD drawings to reflect design changes, engineering change orders (ECOs), or client feedback in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure design feasibility and compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform basic design checks and reviews to identify errors, inconsistencies, or areas of improvement before final submission or production release.
- Organize and maintain a structured digital file management system for all CAD drawings, models, and related project documents.
- Support project teams by preparing presentation-quality renderings and visual aids for client meetings, internal reviews, and design proposals.
- Stay updated with the latest CAD tools, design trends, and industry best practices to continuously improve personal performance and team output quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in one or more CAD software platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or equivalent tools, with demonstrated hands-on experience through academic projects or internships.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting conventions.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for accuracy, detail, and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly interpret and communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
- 0–2 years of professional or internship experience in a CAD design or drafting role is preferred; fresh graduates with strong academic portfolios are encouraged to apply.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package aligned with industry standards, along with performance-based incentives and annual appraisals to reward your contributions and growth.
- Access to professional development programs, technical training sessions, and certifications that support your long-term career advancement in design and engineering.
- A collaborative and inclusive work culture that values creativity, innovation, and continuous learning across all levels of the organization.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and eligible family members, along with paid leave, national holidays, and employee wellness initiatives.
- Opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects across multiple industries, gaining broad exposure and building a strong professional portfolio early in your career.
