About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer I to join our growing engineering and design team based in India. In this entry-level position, you will work closely with senior designers, engineers, and project managers to develop precise technical drawings and models that support product development, manufacturing, and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate design professional to build a strong foundation in computer-aided design while contributing to meaningful, real-world projects across diverse industries. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of CAD principles, a keen eye for accuracy, and a collaborative mindset that thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to translate conceptual ideas and technical requirements into accurate, detailed design documentation.
  • Perform design revisions and updates based on feedback from engineers, clients, and quality review processes to ensure drawings meet all applicable standards.
  • Organize and manage drawing files, revision histories, and project documentation within the company's document management system to ensure version control and accessibility.
  • Conduct basic design checks and quality reviews to identify errors, inconsistencies, or deviations from project specifications before submission.
  • Support the preparation of bill of materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings for manufacturing or construction purposes.
  • Participate in design review meetings, contributing ideas and raising technical concerns to improve overall design quality and project outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging CAD technologies, and relevant design standards to continuously improve personal skill sets and team capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in one or more CAD software platforms such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or equivalent tools, with demonstrated ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a CAD design role, including internship or academic project experience in a professional or semi-professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), drafting standards, and engineering drawing conventions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and spatial reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into precise drawings.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a collaborative office environment.
  • Familiarity with PLM or document management systems is considered an advantage but not mandatory.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package aligned with industry standards, along with performance-based increments and annual appraisals.
  • Access to professional development programs, CAD certification support, and ongoing training to help you advance your skills and career within the organization.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and immediate family members, including medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work options and generous paid time off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance for all team members.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work culture that values innovation, diversity, and continuous learning, providing a supportive environment for early-career professionals to grow.
