Associate Researcher

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of research studies, including literature reviews, data collection frameworks, and methodology development under the guidance of senior researchers.
• Collect, clean, and organize both qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources to ensure accuracy and reliability across all research projects.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of research data using statistical tools and software, identifying trends, patterns, and actionable insights relevant to project objectives.
• Prepare well-structured research reports, summaries, presentations, and documentation that effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support the coordination of field research activities, surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions as required by ongoing projects.
• Monitor emerging trends, academic publications, and industry developments to keep the team informed of relevant advancements in the research domain.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data science, policy, and communications to ensure research outputs align with organizational goals.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of research activities, datasets, and project documentation in compliance with institutional protocols and ethical guidelines.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Economics, Life Sciences, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related discipline from a recognized Indian or international university.
• 0–2 years of experience in a research, analytical, or academic setting; internship experience in research environments will be considered favorably.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as MS Excel, SPSS, R, or Python, along with strong familiarity with research databases and academic resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking ability, and a demonstrated commitment to research accuracy and ethical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with qualitative research methods, survey design tools such as Google Forms or KoboToolbox, and referencing software such as Zotero or Mendeley is an added advantage.
