We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager – Operations to join our growing team. This role is a critical part of our operational leadership structure, responsible for supporting the smooth execution of day-to-day business processes across departments. As an Assistant Manager – Operations, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and senior leadership to implement strategies, monitor performance metrics, and ensure that all operational activities align with the company's goals and quality standards. You will play a hands-on role in process improvement, resource allocation, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily operational activities to ensure efficiency and productivity across all functional areas.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, preparing regular reports and presenting findings to senior management with actionable insights.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the operations team.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing workflows and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational performance and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless communication and alignment on operational objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and quality standards are consistently maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements applicable to operations in India, including health, safety, and labor norms.
  • Support the planning and execution of new projects, product launches, or operational expansions, contributing to project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Indian regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to business operations is a distinct advantage.
