In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to streamline day-to-day processes, improve operational efficiency, and ensure seamless execution across departments. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operational activities across departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of targets.
  • Monitor operational metrics and prepare detailed reports on productivity, resource utilization, and performance benchmarks for senior management review.
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma where applicable.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services within approved budgets.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of frontline staff and team leaders, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback to build team capability.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and resolve operational bottlenecks proactively.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements at all times.
  • Support the preparation and management of operational budgets, tracking expenditures and flagging variances to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of a regional Indian language is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel within India as required based on business needs.
