This position is for an Assistant Manager – Buying & Merchandising based in Pune, Maharashtra. The role sits within the buying and merchandising function of a prominent Indian e-commerce organisation and involves overseeing product selection, category management, and supplier coordination.
The successful candidate will be responsible for curating and managing product assortments, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the right merchandise mix to meet customer demand and business targets. Strong analytical thinking and a sound understanding of retail or e-commerce buying processes are essential to succeed in this role.
- Manage end-to-end buying and merchandising activities for assigned categories
- Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
- Analyse sales data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and operations
