About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Assistant Brand Manager – India Consumables to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of brand strategies for our consumables portfolio across the Indian market, working closely with senior brand leadership to strengthen consumer engagement, drive market share, and build long-term brand equity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who understands the nuances of the Indian consumer landscape and is passionate about translating data-driven insights into compelling brand narratives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, trade marketing, and external agency partners to bring campaigns to life across both traditional and digital channels.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytical thinking and creative sensibility, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. If you are eager to make a meaningful impact on a category that touches millions of Indian households every day, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of annual brand plans for the India Consumables portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular consumer, market, and competitive analysis using tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, and internal sales data to identify growth opportunities and category trends.
  • Coordinate end-to-end execution of above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery within approved budgets.
  • Manage relationships with creative, media, and digital agencies to develop impactful communication assets tailored to the Indian consumer.
  • Partner with the sales and trade marketing teams to design effective in-store visibility programmes and promotional activations across modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Track and report key brand health metrics including awareness, consideration, trial, and repeat purchase, presenting actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support new product development and launch processes by coordinating packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for consumables innovations.
  • Manage brand budgets meticulously, process vendor invoices, and maintain accurate financial tracking to ensure cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • MBA in Marketing from a reputed institution (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred), with 2–4 years of relevant brand management or marketing experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Indian retail ecosystem, including general trade dynamics, modern trade, and the rapidly evolving quick commerce and e-commerce landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and market research tools; experience with Nielsen or IQVIA data is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for consumer insights, brand storytelling, and culturally relevant communication for diverse Indian audiences.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package including performance-linked bonuses and annual increments benchmarked to industry standards.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for self and family, including medical, dental, and wellness benefits.
  • Structured learning and development programmes, including access to global brand marketing training and mentorship from senior leaders.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance in-office collaboration with remote working, supporting employee well-being.
  • Fast-track career growth opportunities within a high-performing, inclusive, and purpose-driven organisation committed to building iconic consumer brands in India.
