We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Brand Manager – India Consumables to join our growing marketing team. Based in India, this role is a critical part of our brand strategy function, responsible for supporting the development and execution of brand initiatives across our consumables portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical thinking, creative vision, and strong executional capability to drive brand equity, market share, and consumer engagement in one of our most strategic product categories. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Brand Manager in developing and implementing annual brand plans, including campaign strategy, media planning, and go-to-market execution for the India Consumables portfolio.
- Conduct regular market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights studies to identify growth opportunities and inform brand positioning decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, finance, and agency partners to ensure seamless and timely execution of brand activations and product launches.
- Monitor brand performance metrics including market share, sales trends, and campaign ROI, preparing detailed reports and presenting actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with creative, media, and PR agencies to ensure deliverables are on-brief, on-brand, and delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Support the development of integrated marketing communication materials, including digital content, packaging updates, point-of-sale assets, and consumer promotions.
- Assist in managing the brand marketing budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources across all initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including product innovations and line extensions, by working closely with the product development and insights teams.
Requirements
- Education: MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in brand management, marketing, or a related function, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, or consumables industries.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting Nielsen, IQVIA, or similar market data tools to derive meaningful consumer and market insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand narratives and present confidently to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated experience working with creative and media agencies, managing briefs, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with digital marketing platforms and analytics tools is a strong advantage.
