Prior experience working in or alongside the Indian defence sector in the Northeast region will be a distinct advantage.

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including Indian Army units, Assam Rifles, Air Force Station Jorhat, and other paramilitary establishments.
- Drive business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities within defence cantonments, military hospitals, and government defence institutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end tendering and procurement process, including preparation of bids, GeM portal submissions, and DGS&D rate contract compliance.
- Monitor and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and sales targets for the area unit with regular reporting to regional leadership.
- Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of field executives and support staff, ensuring high performance, discipline, and professional development.
- Coordinate logistics, supply chain, and after-sales service operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of defence orders and contracts.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and defence-specific documentation requirements, including security clearances and official protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or operations, with at least 3 years in the defence or government sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of defence procurement norms, GeM portal, DGS&D procedures, and government tendering processes in India.
- Prior experience working in Northeast India, particularly in Assam or Jorhat, with familiarity of the local defence establishments is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage confidently at senior military and government levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and government e-procurement platforms.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area and occasionally to regional headquarters.
Benefits
- Competitive CTC with performance-linked incentives and annual appraisal cycles aligned to industry benchmarks.
- Official vehicle or transport allowance provided for field operations and client visits across the Jorhat area.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for the employee and immediate family members.
- Structured career growth pathway into regional and national leadership roles within the defence business vertical.
- Opportunities for professional development through defence sector training programmes, government liaison workshops, and leadership development initiatives.
