About the role
The AI Data Annotation Specialist – Computer Vision is responsible for accurately annotating and labeling image and video datasets used to train and evaluate computer vision models. This work forms a critical part of the AI development pipeline, directly influencing model performance and reliability.
Core responsibilities include reviewing raw visual data, applying precise annotations such as bounding boxes, segmentation masks, keypoints, or classification tags, and maintaining consistency with established labeling guidelines. The specialist is also expected to flag ambiguous or low-quality data and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Annotate images and video frames in accordance with project-specific guidelines
- Perform quality checks on annotated datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to understand annotation requirements and edge cases
- Document issues and provide feedback to improve labeling workflows
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, familiarity with computer vision concepts, and experience using data annotation tools. Prior exposure to machine learning projects or visual data pipelines is an advantage.
