Accountant | Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant to join our growing finance team on a fully remote basis. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of outstanding balances.
• Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable Indian tax regulations, including timely filing of returns and coordination with tax consultants as required.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial data.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, responding to auditor queries, and implementing recommended financial controls.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, identifying variances and providing actionable recommendations to management for cost optimization.
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions such as PF and ESI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, HR, and leadership to support financial planning and reporting needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or mid-sized business environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar platforms, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST framework, income tax laws, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues independently and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
